We did take out and were impressed by the sushi. I liked their miso soup and seaweed salad. The rolls are a good size and our hand rolls were delicious (yellowtail and scallop). There are a lot of creative rolls and they're a good size. I'd love to eat in the restaurant, but their take out is great, too!

Good food and nice ambience. Service was friendly and prompt will visit again for sure.

This is my favorite place for sushi in MN. Once upon a time it was a secret but the secret is out. The prices are reasonable and the quality is top notch. Also, the service is some of the highest quality in the state.

We have been here several times and the food is great. I just want to give folks a heads up. When they tell you it's going to be ready at a certain time plan on adding at least 15 -20 minutes. We arrived at the appointed time to pick up our order. They told us it would be seven minutes more and I'm still sitting here waiting. Having said that, the food here is pretty amazing just be aware when you order online that it will not be ready on time. Just as a follow up, the manager explained what happens when you order online with some of the dishes. And then gave us a $20 gift card. This is excellent excellent customer service I am confident they will be able to fix the problem. However if you order the Moktuk online - that is what messes things up. Call the restaurant and ask them how long it will really be for for your order. Excellent customer service

There's a reason why this is our go to spot for date nights, lunch with the gals, and out of town guests!! The sushi here is our favorite, and the staff is always so welcoming (even during lunch and dinner rush hours). We tend to go during lunch time since they offer lunch specials, but regardless of the time, their prices are affordable. I highly recommend this spot for anyone who enjoys eating sushi, and for those who don't, their Chicken Fried Rice is the best one (our non-sushi lover friends rave about it). First Picture: Miso Soup (one of the reasons we come here - our favorite miso soup, and it's complimentary!!) Second Picture: Chicken Fried Rice Third Picture: (black board, left - right) New York Roll, Red Snapper Sushi, Hamachi Yellowtail Sushi, Kani Roll, Alaska Roll (wood board) Shrimp Tempura Rolls Fourth Picture: Mochi Dessert (highly recommend)

I recently visited AMA Sushi in Edina and had an amazing experience! The lunchtime special deal was incredible - we feasted on a variety of delicious Vegetarian sushi rolls, including AAC, Fried Banana, Mango, Avocado Peanut, Veg Tempura, and Sweet Potato. And to quench our thirst, we tried the Strawberry Japanese Soda drink, which was surprisingly good! It was my first time trying Japanese soda, and I'm hooked! The food was incredibly fresh and flavorful, and the service was great. However, be warned that the seating area is small, so there might be a wait for a table. But trust me, it's worth the wait! If you're a sushi enthusiast like me, you owe it to yourself to check out AMA Sushi. I can't wait to come back and try more of their amazing dishes! Pro tip: Be prepared for a wait, but it's worth it!

This restaurant was a great find in Edina for sushi! It was recommended for a girls night and we had a blast! Although it was a smaller place, the atmosphere was cozy and traditional feeling! We came on a Sunday evening for dinner, and without a reservation we were seated right away. The service took a little bit to get, but we were also waiting for one and it seemed like they were waiting for our whole party to arrive before serving us, which was ok for us! We shared a total of 6 rolls of sushi, all of which were incredibly delicious! My favorite was the rainbow dragon roll. I love shrimp tempura anything and this roll was loaded with it! The toppings were fresh and piled high! We also shared the momo roll, which was a newer taste for me. But the seaweed salad on top was so fresh and salty without tasting like the ocean. It rounded out the flavors so well of everything else in the roll! The November roll was also great, but was SPICY! If you're not a spice lover, I'd maybe stray away from this one. But I loved it! The soy paper it's wrapped in was also new to me, but I couldn't really taste it with all the other ingredients in it. If you're looking to switch up your sushi night location definitely check out AMA Sushi!

I really like AMA Sushi! I first tried it via DoorDash for the first few times, but heard I just had to stop in for the sushi bucket -- so I did. The portion was fantastic for 2 or 3 people and was a nice variety and reasonably priced. I visited another time and enjoyed my ala carte meal of a couple rolls and some shrimp tempura. The staff here is so friendly and attentive and the place is almost always packed. In the summer they have a few outdoor spots which would be fun to sit at. Overall I think their fish quality is pretty decent -- I've had better, but I've also had much worse. I like their location and their prices are very reasonable.

Tried out @amasushiedina tonight celebrating my 32nd Birthday with my husband! We loved the small intimate feel with the large menu What we ordered: Tuna Avocado Roll (7/10) Angry Dragon Roll (7/10) Beauty and the Beast Roll (9/10) House Fried Rice (9/10) Cheese Wantons (8/10) Miso soup (complimentary 8/10) There was a small outdoor section with 2 top tables where we were able to grab the last open table! the perfect spot to sit when weather permits! They do not take reservations so it's advised to arrive early! Also, your full party has to be present to be seated. Street parking is available but fills up quickly so you may have to park further down from the restaurant. We love our sushi and will be returning in the near future
